In July 2009, Direct Personnel were approached by one of our clients to recruit two high level candidates for their global business. Our client is a class leading TRTO and is expanding rapidly, opening up new facilities across the globe and looking to consolidate their position at their present locations.
Direct Personnel were instructed to search and select these two candidates, one to be placed in Europe and one in Asia. These were Director Level positions and the selected candidates would be entrusted to manage and grow our clients business at these locations. The specifications were exact, our client was very particular about the type of candidates they were looking for which is to be expected from a world class organisation.
Throughout July, August and September Direct Personnel worked to source these candidates using our tried and trusted methods of search and selection which include the normal aviation channels of advertising for candidates, head-hunting and also using Social Networking tools such as LinkedIn and of course our extensive network. Because of this reach and after extensive screening, we found an outstanding short list to present to our client. We pride ourselves in providing only candidates who meet the exact requirements. If we don't find them, we won't present them. So our "hit rate" is excellent.
We successfully placed the two candidates in September and early October and both are now in the job and already making a difference. One of the key differences we bring is that we are aviation people. We understand the industry as all our consultants are from the industry itself. We understand the quirks, the terminologies, the challenges, the regulatory environment.
